In 2002, Seattle local, DJ WEB aka Eric Weber (one of Seattle’s Premier mobile DJs of commercial top 40 music) chose to explore other genres of music and move completely into the Electronic music scene. As he worked his day job; he traveled extensively while promoting himself and giving out his promo CDs. His unique blend of crossing genre’s like Trance, Breaks, Progressive got him a call back from a nightclub in Tokyo and he was offered a DJ residence. After a short stay in Tokyo; he returned to Seattle and worked at getting bookings for the big shows. As a result, he’s played at shows such as Kandyland 4, 5,6 & 7 ; A Midsummer Night’s Rave, and Carpe Noctem. At the same time, he began to get club bookings for Seattle’s top clubs such as Q Bar, Foundation, Last Supper Club, Trinity, and a residence at Contour under Free UR Mind Productions. At these Shows and nightclubs he has played with the likes of Lange, Shogun, Roger Shah, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Matt Darey, George Acosta, Bobina, Alex M.O.R.P.H., and John O’Callaghan and was THE Opener for names such as Sean Tyas, Stoneface & Terminal, Aly & Fila, Kyau & Albert, Myon & Shane54, Shogun, and most recently BT.
Web has also played live on KNHC 89.5’s “The Vortex” heard on 89.5 FM, HD channel 2, and www.c89.5worldwide.com live on the internet, as well as played Live on iTVNW.com’s internet television station. Under his own company, IN MOTION, Web has been working on his club night under the name PROGRESS as well as playing his residences PLAY> Saturdays in Portland, and Stardust’s Events titled Sensation Fridays.
WEB continues to push forward the sounds of Trance and Progressive dance music at all shows he’s involved in, while trying to take his audience to another level and giving them an experience to remember.
